Postdoctoral Research Scholar Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
The Department of Physics in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Postdoctoral Research Scholar position beginning in Spring 2025. This is a fixed-term, fiscal year (twelve months) appointment with no tenure implications, but with the possibility of extension annually based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.
The Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics Lab led by Prof. Onur Erten is seeking to hire a postdoctoral research scholar to work in the field of 2D van der Waals magnets and their moiré superlattices. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and strong interests in strongly correlated systems, quantum magnetism and micromagnetic simulations. The position is grant-funded for one (1) year with an anticipated extension for two additional years, depending upon the performance.
