The Department of Physics and Astronomy at DePauw University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2025. Ph.D. (completed by August 2025) in any field of experimental physics is preferred; ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor. A one-year or multi-year term position may also be available. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. The department specifically seeks candidates to teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate physics. Teaching assignment is six courses including laboratory instruction courses per year, and funding is available for professional development and research with undergraduate students.
Strongest consideration will be given to candidates who will develop a lively on-campus research program in any area of experimental physics involving undergraduates.
